What Our Customers Say

What a beautiful Experience. This restaurant was so clean and the waitress was so kind and constantly making sure we always had refreshments and she served our food freshly hot. Definitely a beautiful and perfect place for a date night . Also the food was absolutely AMAZING, we can’t wait to go back .

Came in for a mix of happy hour and regular dining menu. Both choices were absolutely amazing!

Sakura Hibachi in Glastonbury is a vibrant and fun spot that serves up genuinely delicious Japanese cuisine, especially for non-meat eaters. We were incredibly impressed by the quality of the food and the lively atmosphere, but unfortunately, the service consistency prevents this from being a five-star experience.

The Vegetable Hibachi was the star of the show. The chef did a fantastic job preparing the vegetables—they were cooked perfectly, retaining a pleasant crispness without being underdone or soggy, and seasoned beautifully. The portion sizes were generous, and the fried rice and noodles that came with it were flavorful. For an appetizer, the Spicy Edamame was a delightful surprise; the garlic butter and spicy Japanese chili combination was addictive and highly recommended as a starter. Our Vegetable Sushi Rolls were also fresh, expertly rolled, and a great, clean counterpoint to the richer hibachi.

The ambiance is lively, and the hibachi show is entertaining, making it a great place for a fun night out.

However, the customer service was noticeably lacking in warmth. While the staff were generally responsive to requests, their demeanor felt unenthusiastic and a little moody. We didn’t see many smiling faces, which unfortunately took a bit of the shine off the overall lively atmosphere. While the culinary talent is five-star, the overall dining experience is held back by this lack of engagement and hospitality from the service staff.

Bottom Line: Come for the fantastic food and entertaining hibachi experience, but be aware that the wait staff might not provide the five-star warmth you might expect. With an improvement in staff hospitality, this spot would easily be a perfect five stars.

This is our go-to restaurant for special events, date night and happy hour. We bring friends here all the time. The fish is always fresh and the presentation exquisite. Drinks are generous. But the best is the service, especially if you get Lek as your server. She always remembers us and our drinks and how we like them. Always a fun experience.

Very good sushi selections. Good quality and flavors. Was impressed at the lunch menu selection as there were many options. Haven’t tried the hibachi but its something to try for next time! Location is not facing street, its tucked in to a parking lot/shopping plaza or Eric Town Square.

I feel like we got there a little early for Hibachi. We sat down and there was no one else on that side of the restaurant. Made for some nice pictures though!
Soon the tables started to fill. We sat with a couple other groups at our table and then the show began.
For starters, we had the usual soup and salad. (which are both delicious!) And we ordered the California roll. Perfect amount of crab and avocado. Finally, the main course was fantastic. The steak was cooked to perfection and the veggies, chicken, rice, and noodles were perfectly portioned and tasty!
And finally, the wait-staff and chef were phenomenally kind and attentive.

Amaziiiinggg !! The sushi I had was called M16, the guy I spoke with was really cool about taking off some ingredients. Price didn’t change so that was kind of odd, and it was like $18 for one roll so it’s definitely on the expensive side this place. However, it was SO good. Very similar to a traditional fried volcano roll. The portion was pretty big ( roll/slices ) but for the price have gotten about 2/3 rolls elsewhere. I give it all the stars because it was a nice “treat yourself” kind of experience, so I was fine with the price for that moment! Place is cool looking, also clean. Friendly service.

Ahh.. Sakura Garden, how I love this place. Sakura is my traditional birthday dinner place to eat. I’ve been to this one and the Windsor one; they’re both fantastic. If you don’t leave this place without a grin on your face, I’d be shocked.

Best sushi in the area! It’s always fresh and prepared so well! Their hibachi is pretty amazing too not to mention their drink and cocktail selection.

If you’re looking for a good place for your dinner Sakura Garden Japanese Steakhouse would be a great place for your relaxing night.
I had the basic salmon avocado roll which I normally order from Japanese restaurant. The basic menu can tell you about quality of the place and the salmon avocado roll here is amazing. I can feel the fresh texture of salmon and avocado, and the sushi rice is warm and tasty.
The bartender was extremely friendly. They also provided variety drink not only Japanese drinks. Next time I will try the teppanyaki.
